Uniting Beats and Bailouts

The holiday season always brings a sense of hope and generosity, and this year, it’s even more special for us at The Bail Project. We are excited to share that Paper Route EMPIRE, a renowned record label in the music industry, is making a grand gesture of support. The first $20,000 in donations to The Bail Project for Giving Tuesday will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Paper Route EMPIRE, so your donation will go twice as far. It’s a powerful boost for our ongoing fight for equal justice, irrespective of one’s financial status.

Paper Route EMPIRE: More Than Music

Paper Route EMPIRE isn’t just about Billboard-charting songs and emerging artists; it’s a symbol of community impact and philanthropy.

Founded by the late Young Dolph and business partner Jeremel “Daddyo” Moore, the record label is known for its deep connection to the community. Paper Route EMPIRE has become a hub for artists who share this ethos. Notable names like Key Glock, Jay Fizzle, Kenny Muney, and Big Moochie Grape are part of this family, each carrying forward Dolph’s legacy.

The Bail Project’s mission is close to home for Big Moochie Grape in particular, who just shared his East Haiti Baby: Incarcerated album, which features all incarcerated rap artists.

Dolph Day: A Legacy of Giving

The spirit of giving and community service is deeply embedded in Paper Route EMPIRE’s culture, significantly marked by Dolph Day. It’s a day of service celebrated each year on November 17th, honoring Young Dolph’s memory by encouraging acts of kindness and community support. This day, in partnership with the IdaMae Family Foundation, which was founded by Young Dolph’s aunt Rita Myers and named after his grandmother, sees various initiatives like turkey giveaways and support for those in need, spreading goodwill in communities from Memphis to Chicago to Atlanta.

A Matching Challenge for Change

This Giving Tuesday, Paper Route EMPIRE’s commitment takes a new height. From now until Tuesday, November 28th at midnight, the first $20,000 in donations to The Bail Project will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Paper Route EMPIRE. This means your contributions will have twice the power in supporting our mission. Our direct service work, which spans across numerous jurisdictions including Atlanta and Chicago, focuses on paying bail for free and providing community resources for those in need through our national revolving bail fund and Community Release with Support model.

The Bail Project’s Nationwide Impact

At The Bail Project, we believe in a justice system that treats everyone equally, regardless of their financial standing. Our nationwide efforts, from paying bail to advocating for systemic change, aim to eliminate the two-tier system of justice currently in place. The generous match from Paper Route EMPIRE amplifies our ability to provide direct services and push for policy reforms that restore the presumption of innocence and take money out of justice.

How Your Support Helps

Your support this Giving Tuesday, bolstered by Paper Route EMPIRE’s match, is more than a donation – it’s a stand for justice and equality. By contributing, you’re helping us reach more individuals and communities, ensuring that the scales of justice balance for all. Remember, with this matching challenge, each dollar you give is worth double.
