Shenita Jackson is a Bail Disruptor in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to joining TBP, Shenita worked for local government for almost two decades, performing a vast range of diverse duties related to city services for the community. She graduated from South Suburban College with an A.A.S. in Paralegal/Legal Assistant Studies, and she received a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Services from Governors State University. Shenita is currently working on a M.A. in Legal Studies at Washington University School of Law, with a short-term goal of attending law school and becoming a criminal defense or civil rights attorney. Shenita completed an internship at the Chicago Legal Clinic, a non-for-profit law office that offered low-cost and pro bono services on a variety of civil and criminal topics. There, she assisted disadvantaged and underserved individuals who were dealing with legal proceedings and financial barriers. Shenita is passionate about both social justice and criminal justice reform, and she is excited to be working with an organization that is helping to reshape the criminal justice system.
