Jamie Marsicano is a Site Staff Trainer at The Bail Project.
Jamie first organized jail and court support for protesters arrested during the Charlotte Uprising in 2016. After the Uprising, Jamie continued to help justice-involved people navigate their court processes. In addition to their work with The Bail Project, Jamie organizes direct support for trans and queer people in Charlotte, and they have worked to secure housing and jobs for many trans people in their immediate community. Recently, Jamie has collaborated with Charlotte’s Southeast Asian Coalition to build a stronger grassroots jail and court support system in the city. They are excited about how The Bail Project will help this work expand and grow.
