Courtney Walker is a Bail Disruptor in Augusta, Georgia.
Courtney is a Macon, GA native, but calls Augusta her home. She graduated from Augusta University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Most of her undergrad projects were on racism and the ways female and gender victimization tie into the prison system. She has always had a passion for criminal justice reform. After school, she began serving her community by becoming an AmeriCorps VISTA with the United Way of CSRA, partnering with the Richmond County school system. Her projects and duties included providing wraparound services to the students in greatest need, bringing community resources to the schools, implementing parent engagement events to promote overall family engagement, program building, and increasing students’ academic success. Courtney has a heart of service and a smile to match!
