Marissa Jancura (she/her) is a Bail Disruptor in Cleveland, Ohio.
Prior to joining The Bail Project, Marissa was an advocate for sexual assault survivors at a rape crisis and children’s advocacy center. She worked under the Prison Rape Elimination Act to provide services for incarcerated survivors. This led to a greater awareness of the injustices of the legal system and a dedication to help underserved individuals. Marissa graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology. She is passionate about mental health, gender equity, and decarceration. In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time with her pets, tending to her houseplants, and doing yoga.
