The Bail Project / Our Team / Kealohi Aguilar

Kealohi Aguilar is a Site Staff Trainer at The Bail Project.

Prior to joining TBP, Kealohi graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Socio-Legal Studies. During her time as a student, she worked as a Judicial Assistant at the Superior Court of Maricopa County, where she witnessed the criminal justice system in action from a courtroom perspective. She was also a selected participant of ASU’s Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program, where she met with incarcerated persons at Florence Prison for a semester and discussed a range of critical issues, including potential avenues of prison reform. Additionally, she co-founded the Of Color Artist Collective, an art activism group birthed from her fellowship with the Obama Foundation, which aimed to inspire the POC artist community in Phoenix by encouraging reclamation of identity and providing artists with opportunities to showcase their artwork.
