David Feige is the former Trial Chief of The Bronx Defenders, the co-creator of the TNT series “Raising the Bar” and the author of “Indefensible: One Lawyer’s Journey Into the Inferno of American Justice.” He has written about law for the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post and Slate, and is a credited writer and producer on over 100 hours of scripted television. In 2016, David won the Albert Maysles Best New Director award at the Tribeca Film Festival for directing and producing “Untouchable,” a documentary that examines sex-offender laws through the lives of individuals on the sex offender registry. A nationally known lecturer on criminal law and trial tactics, David served as a Professor of Law and Director of Advocacy Programs at Seton Hall Law School, and has been on the faculty of the National Criminal Defense College for over a fifteen years. David was the co-founder and chair of the board of The Bronx Freedom Fund through its creation, expansion and ultimate merger with The Bail Project.
