Carl Crockett is a Bail Disruptor in Detroit, Michigan.
Prior to joining TBP, Carl was the Program Director of the Veterans’ Independence Project II (VIP II) which is operated by The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. The VIP II program was designed to help formerly homeless and honorably discharged male Veterans receive permanent housing, healthcare, benefits, education, employment opportunities, and other services. Carl has been a substance use disorder counselor, case management supervisor, therapist and job coach, and has performed several over roles at nonprofits and social service agencies in the Metropolitan Detroit Area. As a native Detroiter, Carl is passionate about being a voice for the voiceless. His entire life has been a protest in one form or another and he believes that The Bail Project’s mission and core values synchronize with his life’s calling, which is to save people in desperate need of saving.
Carl graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and pursued his MA in Criminal Justice at The University of Detroit Mercy. Carl is pursuing his JD at The Thomas M. Cooley School of Law’s Lansing campus.
