Camilo Ramirez is the Chief Strategy Officer of The Bail Project. In this role, he oversees the Policy, Communications, Marketing, and Philanthropy teams to ensure a cohesive, cross-departmental, and impactful strategy for change.
Joining The Bail Project in 2017 as its first Chief Communications Officer, Camilo led the organization’s brand and communications strategy from launch to scale. Previously, he was Director of Communications at The Bronx Defenders. Before that, he worked at the Center for Constitutional Rights, helping implement communications strategies to support policy advocacy and impact litigation.
Beyond his work in criminal justice, Camilo specializes in literary translation and has worked as a translator, editorial consultant, and co-author. He was born and raised in Colombia.
