Angela Wright (she/her/hers) is a Client Support Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Angela is an advocate for criminal justice and an agent for change by supporting young people who are a proven risk for incarceration. Angela is a former educator and graduate of Clark Atlanta University. Her passion is fueled by her own incarceration in federal prison for over a decade. She has an indomitable spirit; while many would have wanted to give up in a similar circumstance, Angela turned her tragedy into triumph and is now using her experience to help and educate others.
Angela is the founder of Chance 2 Change, a nonprofit in Atlanta that works with other nonprofits to help reduce incarceration and improve criminal thinking and addiction among marginalized groups. Currently, Angela’s organization works with Credible Messengers, the Offender Alumni Association, Project Regress, and Freedom is a Choice.
Angela aims to be the voice of the voiceless, the hope for the heartless, and the faith for the fearful, through her unfailing desire to continue her work until there is greater education and less incarceration in America. Angela is a mother, a grandmother, and a daughter.
