Megan Buckles (she/her/hers) is a Research Attorney at The Bail Project.

Megan most recently served as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Disability Justice Initiative at the Center for American Progress (CAP), where she advanced policy priorities related to the intersectionality of disability justice, racial justice, and economic mobility. Prior to working at CAP, Megan was a Clients’ Rights Advocate at Disability Rights California, where she advised clients on a variety of matters including eligibility for public benefits, regional center services, and special education. In law school, Megan was a member of the Community Justice Clinic, where she partnered with a local bail fund and researched bail reform in Minnesota and across the country. Megan holds a J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, a M.S. in Global Development from Arizona State University, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. Megan is admitted to practice in California.
