Position Summary:

The data and finance administrator role is key to supporting the day to day operations of the St. Louis site. Working alongside our Chief Financial Officer and St. Louis bail disruptors, the data and finance administrator will manage all record keeping for TBP St. Louis bail operations, from uploading client information into Salesforce to reconciling bail receipts.

The data finance admin role complements the work of local bail disruptors, who provide bail relief on the ground, as well as help to keep our larger operations running smoothly. This position requires nimbleness, meticulous organization skills, and a keen understanding of the importance of record keeping and documentation in our larger mission to end racial and economic disparities.

Qualifications:You are driven, highly organized, and have a deep commitment to The Bail Project’s mission to eliminate race and wealth-based disparities in our criminal justice system. You have 2+ years experience managing data and/or financial record-keeping. Applicants must be willing to work independently as well as in collaborative teams. A sense of humor, innovative spirit, and willingness to adapt to the change inherent to a rapidly scaling start-up are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of record-keeping for TBP St Louis, including collecting, digitizing, and filing client records
  • Upload client information to Salesforce and maintain accuracy of client database
  • Manage banking tasks for TBP St Louis, including retrieving funds for bail and maintaining digital and physical bank records
  • Work with Chief Financial Officer to ensure all bank and bail transactions are reconciled on a regular basis
  • Review outstanding cases and monitor refunds to ensure money is being returned to the bail fund in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage office administrative tasks, including tracking inventory, ordering & receipt of new supplies, receiving and processing mail

  • Excellent organizational abilities and ability to handle multiple projects

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM
  • Basic proficiency in Excel
  • Emotional intelligence
